Description
Sandpiper S20 2" Standard Duty AODD Pump Check Balls for Metallic Pumps
Genuine Sandpiper check ball replacement parts for compatible S20 2" Standard Duty AODD pumps with Metallic pump construction. The pump construction identifies the compatible product family; select the actual check-ball material or type separately from the manufacturer-listed options below.
The Sandpiper S20 check balls form part of the pump’s wet-end one-way check-valve system. As the diaphragms cycle, each check ball moves against its valve seat to help control the direction of fluid flow. The correct replacement depends on the exact pump model, configuration, material and manufacturer part number.
Product Overview
The Sandpiper S20 check ball is a wet-end replacement component for compatible S20 2" Standard Duty AODD pumps with Metallic pump construction using a ball-type check valve.
Correct seating between the check ball and check-valve seat is important to check-valve operation. During maintenance, check balls should be inspected for wear or damage and matched to the applicable Sandpiper part number.
Available check-ball options for this configuration include Buna (Nitrile), Buna (Nitrile), Santoprene, EPDM, EPDM, Neoprene, Neoprene, PTFE. Material compatibility must be checked for the pumped fluid, and pump size alone should not be used to select the replacement part. This model also has manufacturer-listed weighted check-ball options; select a weighted variant only where the installed pump configuration and application have been verified.
Recommended For
- Scheduled wet-end maintenance
- Replacement of worn or damaged check balls
- Check-valve inspection and servicing
- Material-specific replacement
