Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Sandpiper HDF2 Air End Kit?
It is a genuine manufacturer-listed service kit for the air distribution side of compatible Sandpiper HDF2 / HDF50 Heavy Duty Flap Valve AODD pumps.
Which Air End Kit fits the Sandpiper HDF2?
The current HDF2/HDF50 manual lists 476.247.000 as the Air End Kit. The same manual shows several construction and air-side options, so non-standard air-valve or special-option configurations should be verified before ordering rather than creating unverified Shopify variants. Confirm the complete pump identification before ordering.
Does diaphragm material determine the HDF2 Air End Kit?
No. Diaphragm material is a wet-end selection and does not by itself identify the correct Air End Kit. Use the manufacturer-defined air-side configuration and exact part number.
Can I select the Air End Kit by pump size alone?
No. Pumps of the same nominal size can belong to different Sandpiper families or use different air-side configurations. Verify the complete model and manufacturer part number.
How do I confirm the correct HDF2 Air End Kit?
Check the complete pump model and serial details on the nameplate, identify the applicable air-side configuration and compare it with the current Sandpiper service manual. ABS Engineering can assist with part verification.
