Deskripsi
Sandpiper ST1 1" Containment Duty AODD Pump Driver Diaphragm for Metallic Pumps
Genuine Sandpiper driver diaphragm replacement parts for compatible ST1 1" Metallic Containment Duty AODD pumps. Confirm the complete pump identification, diaphragm configuration and manufacturer part number before ordering.
The Sandpiper ST1 1" Containment Duty Driver diaphragm is a genuine replacement component for compatible Metallic AODD pumps. The Driver diaphragm is positioned on the air side of the sealed containment chamber, while the separate Pumping diaphragm is positioned on the process-fluid side.
Product Overview
The Sandpiper ST1 Driver Diaphragm is selected from the complete pump identification and diaphragm/check-valve material code. Depending on the model, the Driver side may use a single elastomer diaphragm or a multi-component PTFE overlay and backup arrangement.
SANDPIPER Containment Duty pumps use a two-diaphragm design with a sealed containment chamber between the Driver and Pumping diaphragms. This arrangement creates an additional barrier between the air side and wet side of the pump.
ABS Engineering supplies genuine Sandpiper replacement parts and can assist with identifying the correct diaphragm from the complete pump model number and existing manufacturer part number.
Recommended For
- ST1 Containment Duty Driver diaphragm replacement
- Containment chamber inspection and servicing
- Exact manufacturer part-number replacement
- Planned preventive maintenance
- Critical spare-parts stock
Driver Diaphragm vs Pumping Diaphragm
The Driver diaphragm and Pumping diaphragm are separate parts. The containment chamber sits between them, forming a sealed barrier between the air side and wet side. The Driver diaphragm therefore must be matched to the same manufacturer-listed pump configuration as the Pumping diaphragm.

How to Select the Correct ST1 Driver Diaphragm
Confirm the complete ST1 pump identification before selecting a replacement driver diaphragm. Do not select by pump size or diaphragm material alone because the applicable component depends on the manufacturer-listed pump configuration.
Confirm Pump Model
Verify that the pump is a Sandpiper ST1 1" Containment Duty AODD pump.
Confirm Pump Construction
Check that the pump construction is Metallic and verify the complete model identification.
Check the Diaphragm Code
Identify the applicable diaphragm/check-valve material code: NG, VG and GNG.
Verify Part Number
Match the required driver diaphragm material or component to the exact manufacturer part number.
Sandpiper ST1 Driver Diaphragm Part Numbers
Use the table below to identify the manufacturer-listed driver diaphragm material or component for the applicable ST1 Containment Duty configuration.
| Pump Code | Driver Diaphragm Material / Component | Manufacturer Part Number |
|---|---|---|
| NG | Neoprene Driver Diaphragm | 286.008.365 |
| VG | FKM Driver Diaphragm | 286.008.363 |
| GNG | Neoprene Backup Diaphragm | 286.008.365 |

Why Choose Genuine Sandpiper Driver Diaphragms?
Genuine Sandpiper diaphragms are intended for compatible Sandpiper Containment Duty pump configurations. Matching the correct material, construction and manufacturer part number helps maintenance and purchasing teams identify the correct physical replacement component.
Correct Model Compatibility
Select the replacement diaphragm according to the applicable ST1 pump configuration.
Exact Part Identification
Use the complete manufacturer part number rather than material name alone.
Containment-Specific Selection
Keep Driver and Pumping diaphragm roles and multi-component constructions clearly identified.
Genuine Sandpiper Replacement Part
Maintain compatible pumps using genuine manufacturer replacement components.
When Should the ST1 Driver Diaphragm Be Inspected?
Inspect the applicable diaphragm components during planned pump maintenance and whenever leak detection, abnormal pump behaviour or visible component condition indicates that diaphragm inspection is required.
- During scheduled containment pump maintenance
- When the Driver chamber is opened for servicing
- If visual, electronic or mechanical leak detection indicates a containment event
- If diaphragm wear, cracking, stretching or damage is identified
- When abnormal pump performance leads to diaphragm inspection
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Driver and Pumping diaphragm?
The Driver diaphragm is on the air side of the containment chamber, while the Pumping diaphragm is on the process-fluid side. They are separate replacement parts with different applicable part numbers.
Which ST1 Driver diaphragm variants are listed on this page?
The applicable selections are Neoprene Driver / Backup Diaphragm, FKM Driver Diaphragm, PTFE Driver Overlay. Confirm the complete pump code before ordering.
Is the PTFE Driver overlay a complete diaphragm assembly by itself?
No. Where the pump configuration specifies a PTFE overlay with a backup diaphragm, the overlay and backup are separate physical components. Confirm every required part number before ordering.
Can I select the Driver diaphragm by material name alone?
No. Confirm the pump model, construction, diaphragm/check-valve material code and manufacturer part number because the same material can be used differently across pump configurations.
Do I need to replace the Pumping diaphragm at the same time?
Driver and Pumping diaphragms are separate components. Whether both require replacement depends on the applicable service procedure and inspection findings; do not assume one part number covers both sides.
How do I confirm the correct ST1 Driver diaphragm part number?
Check the complete pump model number, diaphragm/check-valve material code and existing part number. If the identification is unclear, provide the pump nameplate details to ABS Engineering for verification.
